Codd (Coad or Code) & Twamley - Aghold Parish
« on: Friday 04 April 08 18:16 UTC (UK) »

Like the researcher who wants to know more about George Codd of Aghold and the other who wants more information on Richard Chamney of Aghold - your relatives might be from these families - or those with the surnames Twamley, Dixon, Pryce, Hill, Groves, James, Jackson, - and of course Chamney and Codd (which became Code and Coad in Canada). There were hundreds of folk from this small corner of Wicklow (though it was in Carlow at the time) who made it to various locations in Ontario - Lanark County, Kitley Twp in Leeds, East Wawanosh Twp. in Huron County, Camden, and several other places. Have a look at my researchers' WEB PAGE - http://www.yclc.ca/indexzp.html and see if you have questions to ask - or even better, information to offer which supplements what we have. Records went missing - and you may hold a key piece of information which would make sense of what has been a hodge-podge of records which are being researched over and over. I invite you to help yourself - while helping others - by sending us pieces of information which fill in the puzzle.
