I have a William Tanswell baptised in 1733 at Shaftesbury St. Peters, who married Lydia Barrell who was born in 1732 (presumably in Dorset). They were possibly married at St. Peters on 21st July 1761 although I can find no record of that on the Dorset OPC site.
I'm trying to find out if these were the same William and Lydia Tanswell who moved to Bristol in about 1761. I have Lydia Tanswell's death in 1813 aged 81 years in Bristol.
Does anyone have information on either of these two families please?

I'm now wondering if they actually married in Bristol. I know the Bristol CDs for the earlier years will soon be available so hopefully that will give me more information.
