Ooh now Junket, this is a bit tricky for here is how I think it goes

Phillimores (and IGI)  list

Thomas TREBILCOCK = Barbara ROBINS of St Eval 1 Nov 1758 St Issey by licence

now there are no births to this couple at all - I think a mistake has been made but you will need check the original to be sure

Cornwall Marriage index lists the same marriage but with the groom listed as James which certainly makes sense  Grin

as we have baptised to James and Barbara

Mary 26 Dec 1759 St Issey
Nicholas 28 Sep 1760 St Issey
Elizabeth 5 Sep 1761 St Issey
James 29 Mar 1763 St Issey
Ann 13 Feb 1765 St Issey
John 18 Oct 1767 St Issey

Then the move to St Eval and we have

Susanna (date unreadable) 1770 St Eval
James 26 Sep 1773 St Eval

Richard WALLINGTON of Luxulyan = Ann TREBILCOCK by Licence 20 Dec 1790 St Eval
William ANDREW of St Mawgan = Elizabeth TREBILCOCK by Licence 13 Nov 1784 St Eval
James TREBILCOCK Yeoman = Anne DAWE by Licence 21 Dec 1798 St Eval
William ROBINS = Susanna TREBILCOCK by Licence 16 May 1799  St Eval

Probably a little more study required - There was a Susanna born in St Issey in 1770 also and a Susanna married in Padstow in 1802. I am not home Junket but when I go home next week I can check that Padstow one for witnesses. - with the Trebilcock Robins connections and given the fact that this family did move from St Issey to St Eval I expect the St Eval marriage is yours but will check the fiche for the Padstow one when I am back home again in case witnesses give us a clue.

Hi Kris,
I have contacred Susan, who was able to help, and says ( I hope I can quote here ( I do apologise, if I cannot )).................

There is no such marriage.  The marriage is between James Trebilcock and Barbara Robins as stated in the Cornwall Marriage Index.  The Cornwall Family History Society checked all the Phillimores again and made corrections.  The IGI just took what the Phillimores said and reprinted it!  The CFHS is the final authority on marriages, burials and deaths as they have rechecked.  I have done the St Issey and St Eval registers so the baptisms are correct.

I have also received some more information and am working my way through it.

No doubt. I will be back. ( I know, I will be back, with  some Paynter enquiries  Smiley )

I am back, with a query, re the Susanna Trebilcock marriage to Willliam Robins.   I too have seen this one on the IGI Marriages for St Eval and thought this the marriage.

I have been given Susanna Trebilcock and Richard Eplett, 9 1 1802, Padstow.

Are there 2 Susanna Trebilcocks, marrying around these dates please ?

I think, in 1841...

William Robins and Susanah Robins, are living in Back Lane, St Columb Major.
Children, William ,James ( after her father ? ) and Mary.

( I haven't found them yet, in 1851 )

In 1851, Susan Eplett aged 79, a widow is born in St Issey on the census record,  ( not St Eval ). living aat Treburrick, St Eval.

 Smiley Thanks Kris.

It was a mistake, what I had been given.  I was given 2 Susannas born to Barber and James, both married. (  I queried it and I have heard back )

Susanna who married Richard Eplett 1802, Padstow, is the daughter of Samuel Trebilcock & Jane Hattam.  ( I now have to find, if Samuel, is the brother of James and if there is a Susanna in the family, a mother or sister maybe ? ........).

Thank you for all your help. (  I think, I need your resources, this family is growing  Wink )
