Information for BIKO saw your post for WORRALL marriages

Hi Marjie,

I did not want to interrupt the pre 1837 marriage thread where you posted a request for a look up,
Joseph Worrall, son Peter 1819-23 Kingsley

If this is any help, I have in my tree,
Peter Worrall born c1832-1859 in Wharton, died 1859 Jul/Sept Northwich, 
married Sarah Anne Oakes in 1851 Oct/Dec, she was born 1832 in Over Cheshire and they had two children Hannah 1855 and Peter 1859 both born Wharton.

I don't know if there is a connection as my side of the tree is "Oakes" but it seemed a co-incidence.

No there is no connection, well none known yet.
I have come across your Peter and Sarah Anne Oakes lot's of times, they were on my radar in the early days.

My Cheshire Peter ends up in Manchester and marries in 1843

Ooh and the plot thickens.

I just did a search on 1901 Census site...I was originally doing place/street address search for my kids school that will be 100yrs old this year. Anyway with the left over credits I thought I would search my Peter Worrall in the 1841census.

I actually found one (apparently born in Lancashire) with a father Joseph who was not born in the county.

All the clues suggest this is my Peter, in 41 he is a joiners apprentice. Fathers a Carter and there is a brother Thomas.

They all live literally around the corner from where my Peter lives at the time of his wedding 1843 occupation joiner. By 1851 he is a carpenter.

What is strange is that this family does not turn up on the Ancestry site..I have searched for them all individually and nothing.

Glad you have found what appear to be the correct ones  Grin

It's annoying when they don't show up as individuals, I have some that have turned up living at the same address as another ancestor and more than one, by luck, living in the same street as their in-laws children  Roll Eyes

You probably need a birth certificate as proof now.
