Can anyone help me in my search for a marriage between William Raitt and Elspet Rhinde.
Raitt variations, which have cropped up so far, include Rait and Rett and I imagine Elspet could be Elizabeth with a variety of spellings for Rhinde.
I know of two offspring, William, born 1786, in Kintore and James, who died 1856, aged 70, so was either a twin of William's or very close in age. There may be other children but I haven't found them so far.
I am assuming for the moment that the marriage would have been around 1770 - 1785 and somewhere close to Kintore but will widen the net if there isn't anything to be found there.
Thanks,
Jen

There is another William Rait, born to William and Elspeth, 5/10/1786, Kintore, so I am assuming the 1784 one must have died in infancy.
Now to find William and Elspeth's births.
