Anyone have access to the Parish Records of Lochmaben, Dumfrieshire? Looking for records ca 1845-51 for death of Mary Grierson or any other Grierson's for that matter.

Hi dblun,

Just saw your post and sorry for the wait for a response.

I am afraid the only means of getting access to parish records is by going in person to the General Registry Office for Scotland in Edinburgh or the National Archives for Scotland (also in Edinburgh and near to the GRO).  You can also access Kirk Session Minutes at NAS which may well cover any deaths in the Parish as it would have minuted the fees payable for hearses/lairs (graves) and burials etc.

Good luck with your searches.

Keep your eyes on the boards as from time to time, people offer some limited searching for others if they are going to the above offices.
