Shh! Be very, very quiet... I'm hunting forebears!
|
Hi
I've got Thomas ROBINSON who was born in abt 1811 in Glossop, Derbyshire. Thomas married Elizabeth GILL in June 1836 at St Mary's, Stockport. In 1841 Thomas and Betty are living in Dukinfield with Thomas' mother Jane, and Jane's also with them in 1851 but I can't find out anything more about Thomas. I've got him on all the censuses until he died in 1884. I can't find the death of Jane (his mother) which I think should be between 1851 and 1861 but her cert might give me the name of her husband.
Thomas' children were named Jane and Henry.
Thank you for any suggestions
~ Claire

Hi Carole
I am assuming she died because she was 65 in 1851 but I've not looked for her in 1861 I guess.
I have checked FreeBMD but I thought her cert might say, "Widow of..." because they have in my past experience - it's worth a shot because I really am at a brickwall

Can't see her in 1861 so in view of her age in 1851 it does seem most likely that she died
Ashton under Lyne was the reg district for Dukinfield but there are 5 entries between 1851-1861 for that area
