Sorry no McRobert or Calderwood in MI's for Kirkcolm Old Parish Churchyard.

One Kyle as follows;

Erected by Alexander Kyle in memory of his wife Margaret Davidson who died 2nd April 1888 aged 65 years. Also the above Alexander Kyle died 6th Decr 1891 aged 75 years.

Hi Vicki,

Decided to check the Inch Old Parish Churchyard also as some of 'mine' were in Kikcolm and Inch (same family) There was one Kyle:

Erected by John Kyle in memory of his wife Mary Galloway who died at Inch Church 19th June 1889 aged 66 years. John Watson died 20th December 1893 aged 15 years. Also Helen G Kyle their daughter who died Edinburgh 26th June 1896. John Kyle the above died 23rd March 1897 aged 72. Also his daughter Annie who died 18th November 1924 aged 75 years. Interred in Inch cemetery.

Hi Lindsay,

There are none in Kirkcolm but the following in Inch

Erected by James Hewitt Merchant Stranraer in memory of Joseph Hewitt his father who died 17th March 1855 aged 62 years. Also Ann Rankin his mother who died 24th December 1868 aged 92 years. Also his children, James died 22 Nov 1845 aged 2 years 9 months. Infant daughter died 23rd April 1847.  James died 16th July 1861 aged 10 years. Andrew Gilmour died 28th December 1867 aged 9 years. Also Mary Gilmour wife of the above James Hewitt who died at Liverpool 26th March 1892 aged 73 Years

I have recently been helping a 'cousin' descended from James Hewitt and Mary Gilmour, we knew that he had more children and you have found the missing ones!
