Allardyce/Cruikshank
« on: Sunday 06 April 08 14:46 BST (UK) »

I have a marriage of William Allardyce to Helen Cruikshank(daughter of Adam Cruikshank and Isabel Petrie)
in Turriff, 1780, and am interested in the parents of William, and also the children of William and Helen. Is there anyone who may be following these names?

Thanks for the info, ISLES.  I have also found a son, William, circ 1788 in Gartly.  Now I need to try and find parents for William.

Hi

I have a Jane Cruickshank in my family tree
Born-7 Sept 1811, Keith, Banff
Died-3 Jan 1898, Marchmount, Endinburgh

Married Charles Gordon 15 April 1843, Banff
B-1807
Died- 27 Oct 1874, Castle Street, Huntly, Aberdeen

Their daughter ended up marrying a McIntosh, which is my family.

I don't know if this is the same Cruickshank family or not.

Thanks Mcaussie, for the information regarding the Cruikshank family. At this stage, I nly have a Helen Cruikshank born circ 1755  daughter of Adam Cruikshank, which is a little early for the family you mention.
Regards,
