Hello David - Yes - I did find Neil's father who became Sir Alexander Davidson McGlashan - born in 1901 - there were 2 children, Neil and his sister - his sister married (and I don't know her new name) but she lived in Bishops Stortford. I knew the family when they lived in Devizes - the address was either The Old Mill, or The Mill House, Devizes. Neil was a teacher at Carn Brea Prep School in Bickley in Kent - the school was demolished around 1973 for a housing development... His father became President of the London/Perthshire Association which was disbanded many years ago. I doubt whether he is still alive at 108yrs.
I believe the Old Mill/Mill House in Devizes is now a hotel or restaurant.
Neil went out to Kenya to Teach for a period round about 1960. I also think he may be married - I found when I googled "Conquerer 130" his name and marriage to Helen Iona Stanton. I would so dearly love to make contact.
I am quite new at this searching and have spent hours on my pc to no avail.
