Hi everyone,  need some help to find this family please.

The name is actually KILL but in 1841 it is down as KILN and in 1851 HILL.. cant find them using these either  Huh

Old Poor House, Soberton

George HILL  50 Farm Lab b Soberton, Hants
Mary wife 57? b Beauworth, Hants
Mary dau 18 un B Soberton.

I have a death of a  George KILL  in Dec q 1867 Droxford.. this reg dist features heavily in this family so I think it is him but cannot be sure  Undecided  Smiley

i can see a george rill or kill aged 60 occ. some kind of dealer birthpace soberton.
but he is married to a henrietta birthplace soberton  age 68.
they are living in the old poorhouse,holy trinity,soberton in 1861

it looks like mary and henrietta were one and the same person

I think that is him Wozzle everything fits including the address. thank you

He had a son Charles who had a daughter Henrietta M. A b 1856/7

Charles was born 1827 but as you can see does not appear with them in 1841 Huh in 1851 he is married  Roll Eyes

Makes me wonder if he is Samuel (Charles)  given Mary.s turn around of  of name, Undecided

Hi patrish

George Kill married Henrietta Mary Flowers 5 Oct 1820 in Soberton.

Children (all baptised in Soberton):

George 20 May 1821
Samuel 21 Dec 1823
Charles 18 Jun 1826
Ann Maria 18 Jan 1829, when noted to be of Hambledon

So Samuel and Charles does appear to be two people.

Droxford RD covers the parish of Soberton.

I can't find any earlier records for Beauworth or Soberton online.  Sad

The baptisms can be found  in two places (online): FamilyHistoryOnline (soon moving to FindMyPast if not already) as well as the Knightroots site.
