BIG thank-you Welbourne!!!!and Blaney/Graves.
« on: Friday 04 April 08 17:42 BST (UK) »

Hello to Lincolnshire.
Having had a long series of rants -here and elsewhere!!- about the state of English Churchyards, and the criminal neglect by parish authorities of our ancestor's headstones, I think it only right to say FANTASTIC and THANK_YOU WELBOURNE!!!
Have just returned from a trip there, and can safely say it is the best kept graveyard I have been to- and the Church was open, BRILLIANT. So if anyone reads this who has responsibility for this lovely Church, thank-you.

There is a point to this too! Has anyone have any info on the BLANEY family of Welbourne, esp  thier connection with the GRAVES family. I found a headstone for a George Blaney Graves, died 1891 age 73, near both Blaney and (my) Graves headstones, and am interested in the connection.
Thank-you, Sally
