George Waters born Aberdeen

I'm trying to find birth record of George Waters who in the 1881 Eng census gives his place of birth as Aberdeen. He was born in 1849 but doesn't appear in Eng census until 1881 so I presume he was in Scotland until then. Father was William Waters.
Married Emma Hayes in London 1876 and died in Croydon Surrey 1893.

Can't see anyone of that name on 1851, 61 or 71 census- unless Aberdeen was used generically for North of Scotland! Theres a few in caithness.

Sorry only know that his father was William as it was on George's marriage certificate. William was a gamekeeper.
Doesn't look as if he wants to be found.
