The following people with the Crane surname are listed in Griffith's Valuation which took place in the County in 1853

Judith Crane, Irish Street, St. Marys, Newtownbarry
Peter Crane, Ballinra, Skreen 
Michael Crane, Clonmore, Toome 
Michael Crane, Clonmore, Liskinfere 
Peter Crane, Ballinra, Ballyvaloo 
Michael Crane, Ballynaslaney, Ballynaslaney 

A message on Genforum shows there was a Crane family at Barrystown in the early 1800s.

John Crane and William Crane are shown as overseers of the Will of Margaret Fossey of Furlongstown.
Dated 21 June 1721. See No. 78 on the Quaker Records Dublin Abstracts of Wills webpage.
