George Jervis b 1818 in Maer married Mary and they had the folowing children: George 1843, William 1846, Allen 1848, Elizabeth 1853, Mary 1856 - all baptised in Mucklestone.
Please could someone check this family in the 1851 and 1861 census as I am trying to establish the relationship of several Jervis families in Mucklestone and I would be most interested in any Jervis records that are found who report their birthplace as Mucklestone.
Many thanks
Graham

In 1861 there seem to be two other families with members born Mucclestone / Muxton
James age 60, farmer, born Mucclestone, Wife born Maer. Children Ann 26, Betsy 21, William 18, Fanny 15, Mary 12, Peter 8 and Alice 6 all born Mucclestone
The other is Joseph and wife Ann from Newport, three youngest daughters born Muxton

Many thanks. Thats really useful it has uncovered a couple of additional children I was not aware of and allowd me to merge a couple of different records.
I know of the James family but not the Joseph and Ann family. I would be most grateful if you let me have their details.
Many thanks
Graham

Many thanks.
Joseph R B Jervis full name is Joseph Robert Ball Jervis and fits with data I already had for him. He married in Dorchester in 1879 and in 1881 his first son was born in Bengal India. So looks as if he went into the army around mid 1870's. I have tried to find the rest of the family in 1881 but no joy.
Regards
Graham
