Malloy's in Nottingham- 1842, 1859
« on: Wednesday 09 April 08 18:16 BST (UK) »

Have found the death's of two Molloy's who I think are related but need further information in order to be sure.
known details are :-

Ann Molloy died Dec qtr 1859 Nottingham. vol 7b page 171.
John Molloy died Sep qtr 1842 Nottingham. vol 15 page 351.

Can anyone out there confirm that the parents of the above are John and Catherine (Kitty).

Thank you.

Hi

The GRO index does not show ages for that period so it would be impossible to determine which family they related to without having that info

They could have been children or they could have been adults

Hi Einstein

I wish you would put on your profile where you are based as I don't know whether you know Nottm or not.

Anna Molloy is on the burial Cd 27.11.1859 St Barnabus (Roman Catholic)

Baptism:

Anna Molloy to John and Catharine MacIntyre Born 25.5.1846 Bap 15.6.1846

John to               "                 "            "             Born 13.5.1842   Bap   13.5.1842

Just to confuse matters there is a John Molloy about the same time at Geding All Hallows. You can distinguish them as Ged is Anglican and St Barn is RC.

To get total confirmation you will have to go to Notts Archives.

Hello Jane,

thank you for the information regarding the Molloys.

I must confess that I am new to Rootschat and when registering I was reluctant to enter my personal details. However, I have now updated my profile and you will see that I am based in Armthorpe, which is close to Doncaster.

regards, Malcolm.
