I am trying to trace Robert Owen born abt 1829 in Pwllheli but I have not had any luck so far except later census returns when he was living in England with his wife, Elizabeth Ellis (abt 1826, Ruthin). Their first child was born in 1853 in England. If anyone has details of birth, baptism, parents etc. I would be most grateful.

He would have married after 1837 so a copy of his marriage cert will give you his fathers name which may make searching easier

You may want to bear this 1841 census entry in mind given that he named his firstborn Griffith. The marriage cert should also show his fathers occupation

How about this IGI extracted record - but look at fathers surname?
GRIFFITH OWEN Christening: 20 MAY 1793 Deneio, Caernarvon
Father: OWEN ROBERTS Mother: ANN
It needs a lookup of the original entry to see if there are any "clues"
No match for the marriage on the IGI/BVRI which was probably between 1819-1820 given that Margaret was born 1821

I think the Margaret Owen mentioned on the 1841 and 1851 census is my Great Great Grandmother who married Thomas Prichard in Rhiw in 1854 (I need to check). They had a son Griffith in 1857 (ish) who was born in Llanystymdwy; no other children.
I have found two possible marriages I think for Griffith and Ellenor - they are at home. I will amend this post later with the dates.
