Hi folks,

Can someone please post me Charles and Susan Elliott in the 1841 census.
I think they'd be in Harberton in Devon.
and would have children

Elizabeth b 1829
Mary Ann 1831
Sarah 1832
Charles 1835
Henry 1838
William Thomas 1840

In 1851 they'd also have
James b1842
George Frederick b1844
Albert b1847

Hi there Pam,

No sorry I don't have birthdates but going by their childrens birth years (their children seem to be born from about 1829-1847) so 1810ish?? give or take a few years?? does that help at all?

Also nothing you posted rings any bells regarding relatives but they really could be just haven't got that far at this stage.

Thanks for your help, look forward to see what you can dig up!

Do you have the Charles and Susannah/Susan on 1861 or any Deaths

Are you the SHARON who is listed on Genesreunited listing Charles Elliott bc 1808 @ Harberton Devon, if not do you wish me to contact her on your behalf??

Also a JOHN snd a KEN stating Susannah Elliott bc 1807 at Staverton Devon.

Will wait to hear from your before searching anymore.

i have looked thru all the pages of Harberton village  1851

and cannot see the ELLIOTTS so it is possible that they are elswhere in this census.

Many thanks for your detective work well done!
That's great.

I wonder if they may have emigrated if they can't be found in 1851.
That's very interesting and gives me another line to follow up. Another of that line I'm guessing is the one that ended up in OZ so maybe that's worth a look.

Just found a Charles Elliott and wife and 8 children heading to Aust in 1849! - off to post on Aust board!!!
