john walker b c1900
« on: Monday 07 April 08 15:48 BST (UK) »

Hi
I have been having correspondence with someone who has relatives in AYrshire - particularly mary Walker born Maybole 11 nov 1894.
Mary had a brother John also born Maybole 1900.
their parents were Robert Cooper Walker and Mary Williams - Robert born ireland and mary born Canada.

Now a giant leap  that I hope someone out there can help with crossing, or turning away from -

On my husband's side, he had an aunt Agnes nee Paterson who married a John Walker born sometime around 1900 - he must have been because of their two children George born 1926 and died 2006.
I have no actual dates for Aunt Agnes, though there is a Tarbolton connection with the family.
Aunt AGnes' sister jeanie Paterson was born 1911 and died 2002.
i was wondering if anyone knows of this Walker family - I have some more names of people further back, but don't know if they are mine!
It's the John Walker I would like to make the connection about. not much to go on, but hope someone can help.
Thanks in great anticipation

You can order Jeanie Frederick Paterson birth cert from Scotlands People.  She was born 1911 in Tarbolton.  It should list her parents on it which will help you.

Hi

There is an Agnes Paterson. b. Tarbolton in 1896. However, I can't find her marriage to a Walker, John or otherwise 1912-1932.

Did they marry in Scotland? Where were the children born?

The Agnes b 1896 you found  (father James Paterson mother Euphemia Morton)  goes on to marry Lawson Hannah in 1920.

There were quite a few marriages of Agnes Pat(t)ersons, but as I said, none to a John Walker.

They were either married outside of Scotland or there is some error in the info that revmother has been given ,as far as i can see.
