West Cranmore « on: Thursday 10 April 08 21:49 BST (UK) »
Hi, I have tracked my family back to this area using the usual census material but have yet to get a chance for a visit. The line here is split between Lane, Gane, Selway and maybe Trippick. Has anyone done any work on these in that area or has information about the area generally that would be of interest (I know that they had links to the Oakhilll Brewery).
Thanks, Adrian.

Hi
I'm sorry , I don't have any information for you as such, however just to let you know of a lovely little book, printed in 1985, of which I have a copy. It is called " A Cranmore Chronicle " by Mary de Viggiani, and has references and photos of members of the Lane, Gane and Selway families, although from the early part of the 20th century. The only other copy of this book I have seen is in Shepton Mallet Library, if you are ever in the area. Hope this helps just a little.
