Is there anyone who has info about a Thomas Jennings and his wife Ann. They lived in Haworth, Yorkshire. You can see them on 1901 census RG13 4080.

They had Children...Thomas, Annie and suzy.

I'm not sure if I am related to Thomas Jennings or not. My gt gran was annie jennings. We have struggled to find anything out about her. We think she was born in swindon in wiltshire. So now I have found this annie Jennings living in yorkshire who would be about the right age, born in wiltshire and it is right that she had a brother called Thomas.

I Just wanted to see if anyone was researching the Jennings family of Haworth.

Thomas and Annie jennings father in the 1901 census was another Thomas.

My annie jennings was sent to live in a convent in wantage.
Her parents were supposed to have died in a pony and trap accident.
I have found a Thomas Jennings who died in wantage aged 55 in 1905. I'm not sure if it would be the same thomas as who lived in yorkshire.

I'm just at a dead end and desperately trying to find my annie jennings.
I suppose I haven't really got a question to ask.

Have you got her marraige certificate and birth certificate they are the best ways to go. I can see her in the 1891 with father Thomas 1846 and mother Ann 1847 brother Thomas 1881 and sister Susan 1887 iving in Brinkworth Wiltshire.
1901 census in Haworth father Thomas1846 mother Ann 1846 Brother Thomas 1881 sister Susy1887
That says to me its the same family.

I have a marriage certificate. I do not have a birth certificate. But you see, Apparently she told everyone that she was born in swindon in wiltshire in 1885, but there is no record of her.

Brinkworth isn't all that far from Swindon just looked at the map. There are 2 births in that area
Annie Jennings 1886 oct/nov/dec 1/4 Cirencester 6a 955
Annie Jennings 1883 apr/may/june 1/4 Malmesbury  5a 52
My thoughts are that Malmesbury is nearer to Brinkworth and Swindon than Cirencester.

I think we wrote down once all the annie jennings births to see which one it was likely to be.

ahh there wasn't any in 1885 that could be her. There were lots in london and elsewhere, none in wiltshire.

On those 1891 and 1901 censuses, it showed annie being born in brinkworth. Were there none on BMD confirming that in 1883?

Malmesbury is a good possibility. Maybe brinkworth births would have been registered there?

There is still no clear indication tho that this annie is related to me. What I need to do is find anyone likely to be descended from these people who may be able to help.

Oh I just found out the Brinkworth was in the malmesbury reg district!

Annies birthday was the 13th of january. But maybe she didn't know when it was and maybe it is significant to when she was in the convent??

She may have not been registered till that 1/4 anyhow.I think its a good place to start off with.If you send for that birth certificate and only fill her name in on the 1st page then ask for a checking put her fathers name in then and if it isn't the right fathers name you will get charged only £3 instead of £7.

We always thought it was 1885 she was born. But she could have been born in 1883 and just not known it.

Sorry just realised that the Malmesbury birth was in 1883. I just get carried away sorry. I know in the census for the birth year it always says born abt so a couple of year doesn't bother me too much but if the age on the marriage cert works out she was born 1885 then I'm not sure what to say but people have been known to fib and the 2 births were the only ones in the area where she was born.
