There's a passenger list entry for Umberto Schiavone who arrived in New York on 5 Oct 1906.  He was 22 years old, born in Teano, last resided in Filimano (?), and headed to Philadelphia.  Does that sound like the right person?

The ship was the Prinzess Irene, sailing from Naples on 21 Sep 1906 arriving New York on 4 Oct 1906.

Schiavone, Umberto, age 22, male, married, occupation - farm laborer, able to read and write, Italian, race or people - South, last residence - Filimano, final destination - Philadelphia, did not have ticket to final destination, paid passage himself, in possession of $10, not going to join any friend or relative, in good condition, five feet five inches tall, dark complexion, brown hair and eyes, mole on his chin, place of birth - Teano.

On Ancestry, there is a tree that has an Umberto Schiavone married to Florinda Cocozza.  Is that him?

umberto's first wife was florinda cocozza.  I believe she arrived in America in 1907 taking their daughter Antonia with her.  Do you know anything of their daughter.  Do you know why Umberto left America for Scotland?  Thank you again

I'm not finding anything on these people in the census records.  Do you know when they left the US?

The tree on Ancestry doesn't give any further information about Antonia, aside from saying that she & Florinda sailed August 2, 1907 from Napoli according to records on the Ellis Island website.  Florinda was 27 & Antonia was 2 years old.  Their place of residence was So. Filignano, Italy.  Her nearest relative was Valente, Maddalena, Filignano and she was going to join husband, Schiavone, Umberto, 237 So. Severent St., Philadelphia, PA.  The tree says Florinda was born 8 Feb 1880 in Filignano and her parents were Giuseppe Cocozza and Maddalena Valente.

If you want the e-mail address of the person who put the tree on Ancestry, I can send it to you via private message.

Thank you for all this information.  We know that Umberto and Florinda schiavone were in Scotland by 1913.  But we don't know why they left the US.  Did Antonia die and was buried in the US as we can't find any detail.  We also know that Umberto and Florinda had 10 children.  Were they all born in the US?  I would be grateful if you could send me that e-mail address.  As for my interest?  Well, my mum is a daughter from Umberto's 2nd marriage.  Again thanks for all your help
