Hi Sue,
I see that you are on line. The reference to Rounceval Street did show up on the link, actually, the link didn't work.
Is this street in old Chipping Sodbury or the new area?
I just came across your discussion with Toby as I was searching Alfred Grace, a surgeon who lived in the street in 1881. I see that the Modra Hotel was once View House, and the surgeon's work place as well.
But then may be there were two Dr. Alfred Graces in Sodbury, one a nephew (1866-1929) and the other (1840-1916), the brother of Dr. W. G. Grace.

Hi Rounceval Street is the western extension of the High St.
Using Old Maps http://www.old-maps.co.uk/indexmappage2.aspx and entering the street name comma Chipping Sodbury it should come up centered on the map.
It is part of the older town, (Georgian/Victorian possibly) whether it is as old as some of the buildings on High St where the Market Cross and chipping is, I don't know.

Thank you Sue / StintonLomas / Nameless for your replies.
StintonLomas, I will look at the link you provided.
Nameless, thank you for the additional information on the Graces. E M Grace would be the grandfather, A Grace the son, and AH (Alfred Henry) Grace the son of Alfred and grandson of Edward Mills Grace. EM Grace and Martha Pocock had 9 chn and Dr. W.G.Grace, the cricketer, was another of his children. "Le Gras" is very interesting.
I was just side-tracked yet again. Three of my Rees family of Haverfordwest married Martha Pocock's siblings of Bristol.
Once again, thank you for your contributions.

Hello Keith,
Thanks for the information about the Graces. Amazing that you had to tell me that the Moda was previously the surgery. I didn't know before or perhaps forgot. .
C/S is one of my favourite places.
Cheers

To Nameless,
I would just like to acknowledge your help and advice offered through a personal message. I had not come across the bafhs site previously, and already I was able to find the death year of James Rees.
Once again, the is another example of the great support contributors to RootsChat provide to other family researchers.
Much appreciated,
Keith - Australia

I find that the Chipping Sodbury Baptist Chapel 1860 Extension Burial Area has 4 marked graves to either Alsop or Vizard families. Can anyone advise on whether this area is large and whether I am likely to have difficulty in finding the graves? Thanks, Toby.
