Your 1841 information isn't quite accurate
This is what I have found
1841
Thornton Le Moor North Side
Thomas Sturdy 55 miller
Elizabeth 50
William 20
The enumerator's mark then seperates them from the next entry which is
Mary Stury 20
Ann 1
All born in Yorkshire
What I would surmise from this is that all these people live in the same dwelling house but are recorded as 2 seperate households.
I would further surmise that Mary could be the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth and that Ann is the daughter of Mary.
Unfortunately the 1841 doesn't give relationships

I haven't managed to trace Mary or Ann in 1851 - suspect Mary married - did look on FreeBMD but couldn't come to any conclusion
