US immigration, Destination numbers ?
« on: Saturday 12 April 08 07:26 BST (UK) »

Hi,

we had a question on my german forum about destination numbers.

The results of a search on the Castle Gardens website found a match,
http://www.castlegarden.org/quick_search_detail.php?p_id=6964152
with Destination     7328

Steve Morse ( http://www.stevemorse.org/ ) says that he has been told of these
four destination numbers by others, and would also like to know if there is a list anywhere.

7328: USA
2880: Canada
3455: Bermuda
7778: New York

Does anybody know any more, or where a full list can be found ??

Hi Bob !

Can I just say that what Steve Morse doesn't know ... isn't worth knowing !!  Roll Eyes - but the last time I was at the Archives they were saying something about each state having a code .... but I didn't write anything down ( as I wasn't interested at the time !!  Undecided ) ... so I can't remember properly !!  Roll Eyes

But I believe you're asking for a number for each country aren't you ? ...

I will certainly ask next week when I go !! ....

This site has some explanations of markings, Bob.
Not sure it has exactly what you are looking for though.
