Elizabeth IRESON from Burton in Somerset
« on: Saturday 12 April 08 09:19 BST (UK) »

Hello Everyone,

I am seeking information about Elizabeth Ireson who was born about 1820 in Burton, Somerset.  She married a Mr Pilgrim and they moved to Great Wilbraham in Cambridgeshire.

I don't have any information on Mr Pilgrim or where they married unfortunately.

That's all I know, not much but hoping someone much just be able to help me out with a few more details and leads to follow up on.

Thanks for looking

Hi SJ Detective,

I see she's Ireson in 1861 (already in Gt Wilbraham) so we're looking for a marriage between 1861 and 1871.

How about:
Marriages Dec 1863 Chesterton  3b 1101

Elizabeth Ireston - Joseph Pilgrim

Hi Tati & CatOne,

Many thanks for your help and information.

Tati, that's the marriage all right in Chesterton.  I 'd not thought about spelling it Ireston!  Now I know his christian name is Joseph.  Thankyou  Smiley

I have seen the census's but have been trying to work out whether Ireson was Elizabeth's maiden or married name.  Looks like her maiden name now and that would make the two daughters that I know of born 1853 and 1855 illegitimate since they are both called Ireson.

Looks like I have some more research to do and need to check for more children born either Ireson or Pilgrim.

If anyone is able I would be very interested in finding the exact birth date/baptism for Elizabeth Ireson and I wonder what the connection with Burton in Somerset will turn out to be?

Thanks again both for your time and help.  Very much appreciated.
