Hi ptgod,

Where is your information from? Is there anything else you know, and what are you trying to find out?

Do you think this could be your Thomas in 1861?

There are a lot of records for Thomas Goddard listed in the Hampshire Record Office catalogue, many of them referring to Yateley and Cove.  These records will provide you with useful clues - you should check these out.

If the one Tati found is correct, he seems to have moved from the farm by 1881 - he and his family are in Farnborough and he is just a labourer.

Yes, that is the right thomas. He also had a daughter MARY ANN born in 1862, and a daughter TYPHENA born in 1865 who at sometime married a SAMUEL WHITE. Wanted to know if he was the owner of 24 acres or a tenant.

You need to check out the records at Winchester - it is the only way forward.
