Negus family 1851 census

Hoping to find the parents of a George Negus born c1840 in Godmanchester. (according to 1881 census)
He was the grandfather of the Antiques expert Arthur Negus.
In particular interested in the identity and birthplace of George's father.

Think this could be him in Bedford Lunatic Asylum, transcribed WW but looks like WN -

If you Google "William NEGUS" Godmanchester   the first hits come up with URL's that lead to nowhere (dead pages?) - but.... the Google results DO have enough in their archived indexing  to be interesting - it says:

On 22 Apr 1829 Susannah married William Negus, son of William Negus & Mary [Negus], in Godmanchester, Huntingdonshire, England.  

From that, it may be that Susan's name was STOCKER

Will take a look but IGI has a marriage between Willima Negus and a Susannah Perkins in 1829 in Godmanchester which looks right.

I don't know if you've seen this but heres the website for Godmanchester ! you never know you may see some information in there that helps !! when I was living there many moons ago ... there was still a Negus family living there !!  Smiley
