Hi all I'm looking for the marraige between Rhoda Moreton and Joseph Anthony - they had their 1st known child in Beverly Yorkshire in 1844 but Rhoda was born (1824) and grew up in Penn Buckinghamshire whilst Joseph was baptised in Norfolk in 1802 (Burham Sutton with Ulph). I and other cousins have tried searching with no luck so far. BMD or a search by Bucks FHS hasn't given any help either so I thought I would ask here. I have asked on a Yorkshire board in the past also with no luck. Any help would be very gratefully recieved.

All census look up transcriptions are Crown Copyright ====================================== Brown 1800 Dover -> Woolwich (Kent) Barnett 1800 Isleworth -> Woolwich Pannifer 1830 Suffolk -> Deptford Kent Brierley in Staffordshire(Pre-1875) Walters in Middlesex(Pre-1875) Clift,Gould in Devon/Cornwall
I've trawled FreeBMD several times. In 1851 census they are with Rhodas Sister Mary Austen in Buckinghamshire as they are mid move to Deptford Kent which is where they eventually settle throughout the following censuses. HO107/1719 Folio 304 Page 38
In 1841 Rhoda is very difficult to find (I think that she may have been mistranscribed as a boy called davdid Austen again living with her sister) HO107/55/9 Folio 10 Page 15
- her mother Elizabeth Moreton nee Wingrove died in 1832 and the family appear to have broken up. Her father Winslow MOreton is still in the area but boarding at different addresses. The rest of her siblings appear to have moved on - they are all older than her. Their oldest child that we know of, Rebecca, was born and died in Beverly Yorkshire in 1844, the other children born there before the move to Kent are William (1846), Emma (1848) and George (1850). Joseph I think in 1841 was in St ALbans Hertfordshire but on the census it says he comes from foriegn parts (mind you I'm working on the assumption that he decided he was a 'furriner' as he was from a different county). HO107/439/4 Folio 44; Page 15
Anyway I hope this helps.
