Topic: Hampton St Marys Parish Registers Look Up Request for Ratcliffe Please (Read 295 times)

I am searching for the death of William Ratcliffe (born about 1772). His wife Mary was buried at St Marys Hampton in 1811.
I have been unable to locate the death of William. He is mentioned as a 'newcomer' at the burial of Mary.
William does not appear in the free BMD index or in the 1841 census. So, I assume that he died between 1811 and 1837. He would have been aged about 39 in 1811 and aged about 65 in 1837.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Sorry it has taken so long to reply... I've only just spoken to the archivist at St Marys. He says all the records are now "up town" in Northampton Row, which I take to be the London Metropolitan Centre (?). They have all their registers up to 1900. Do you know of anyone doing similar research as he has received a similar request in the past? He tells me that then he exhausted all the relevant information that they have available.
Sorry I couldn't be the bearer of happier news. Good luck with your searching.

I'm currently doing LMA look-ups (see my posts at the tops of the London & Middx boards) and can add you to my look-up list. However it is full for the next couple of visits in June but if you're happy to wait, I'll get to your request as quickly as I can.
