Deciphering Locations from 1872 Middlesex Marriage Cert.
« on: Monday 14 April 08 13:02 BST (UK) »

I'm hopeless when it comes to deciphering old handwriting. Could some one help me with the following locations of this 1872 Middlesex Marriage Cert, please?

1) "St Matthews Church in the Parish of St Matthews ..............(?) Square in the County of Middlesex" (I think St.Matthews is correct?)

2)  Residences of Groom and Bride.  "............(?) Square" and ".........(?) Road"

3) And while I've got you here, the occupation of bride's father John Goody "..........(?)"

Thanks

Les

There was a St Matthews Church Oakley Square, near St Pancras - it was demolished in 1980s.  That would fit with Ampthill Square and Crowndale Road.
