Hello Ewan
Where does Richard come from in the 1851 census (not available to me).........trying to work round the problem via siblings...........Ilford may have just been a fleeting visit and Richard might have had a christening at Hammersmith?

Hello Bryant
Richard's birthplace on the 1851 census is stated as Essex, I see what you mean Bryant about having a baptism in Hammersmith the same as his siblings but perhaps being born in Essex. Unfortunately, or fortunately I have James, John and Roberts baptisms from Hammersmith, along with a few sisters (Martha, Sarah, Ann and Maria). I have the census information of Richard and Julia Kinton from 1861, but thank you anyway. The other census information regarding other Kintons I don't have so I will keep them in case they are connected, thank you.
There is a marriage on the IGI of a James Kinton and an Elizabeth Fassett in 1802 at Reading Berkshire, but I have no evidence to say that this is Richards parents at the moment. Elizabeth, as does Richard, state on the 1841 census they were born out of the county of Middlesex. So, I am hoping there is a kind soul in Essex that would be able to see if they can find Richard's baptism for me.
Many thanks for your interest and reply, much appreciated. Ewan

Hello again
I thought you would have the census details but I always think that displaying it may help the cause and get people interested?
KINTON as an exact name is not common and most/all of yours seem to stick with that name and not the variant of Kenton! In 1841 only 27 use the exact name of Kinton in Middx including a man by the name of Newbold....
1841 LAMBS CONDUIT STREET, ST ANDREWS HOLBORN, LONDON, MIDDX NEWBOLD KINTON 60 GROCER NO SUSANE " 65 NO LOUISA " 25 YES MARY " 20 YES SUSANAH TROPNELL 55 F.S NO KITTY JUDKINS 45 F.S NO HUGH BANFIELD 25 SHOE M NO HENRY KINTON 25 SHOE M NO ---------------
NEWBOLD appears to have been born/christened in Leicestershire.........christened 19th June 1775 at Rothley, Leics..........parents Robert & Ann. Here are siblings below Ann c.29th Apr 1766 Susannah c. 1st Aug 1769 Elizabeth c.9th Sept 1771 Robert c. 16th Oct 1778 Thomas c. 28th Jun 1782 all christened at the same place and with the same parents -----------------
What does it prove?...........it does mean that the Leicestershire Kinton's have hit town and you have a better understanding of Kinton's in general and you never know one day the info might come in use........
others........
1841 BOWLING STREET, ST JAMES CLERKENWELL, FINSBURY, MIDDX FRANCIS KINTON 45 SHOE M YES SUSANNAH " 50 YES --------------- 1841 SOUTHAMPTON STREET, ST JAMES CLERKENWELL ROBERT KINTON 37 BROKERS CLERK NO EMMA " 21 NO WILLIAM " 2 YES ---------------
