1871 Census Look up Please NEW

Would someone be able to look on the 1871 census for a Mary Ann Howlett.
From the BMD site she was born in 1865, Cookham Berkshire.

Looking for family members.

Sorry Sharon can't see her on Ancestry but a few with that surname pop up, being the 5 children of Frederick and Margaret? living in Wargrave the younger children purported to be born in Hurley which is in the Cookham district
Interestingly one female child aged 5 is named Henrietta M Howlett
wonder does the M give you any clue.

There is also the family of Charles and Mary Ann in Purley Bradfield district with 2 male children

There doesn't appear to be a death for a Mary Howlett in the time frame so what about a change of name for the census??

There are also a couple of extraneous Howletts born in Berks but residing in other counties including a 2 year old Mary puportedly born in Caversham Oxon but I don't see any merit in any of these others

Is Howlett Anns married name? Nearest i can find at the moment is a Mary A Howlett

in 1891 b 1863 in Tilehurst married to a Frederick. Will post if needed.

Thanks for getting back to me.

From the BMD this is what I found on her birth & Marriage.

Birth Howlett Mary Ann mar. 1865, Cookham

Marriage Sept. 1894

Church Gertrude Hartley W.
Trevina Gertrude Church "
Howlett Mary West "
Pengillty Willliam Alfred "
Instone Walter William "

I don't know what the West, stands for on the marriage index. Could she have been married before & Howlett is her married name, or maybe her Mother remarried???

I was looking for the marriage for William Alfred Pengilly & that is how I came up with Mary Howlett. On the 1901 Census Hamshire wife of William Pengilly was Mary A age 36 born in Filhurst Berks. I can't find Filhurst anywhere, so I am assuming it is wrong.

William Alfred & Mary Ann had a Son Alfred Ernest & today I have sent away for his birth cert. hoping that might give me some information.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Would you please post the info. on the 1891 census for Mary A & Frederick Howlett

Would you also be able to look on the 1871 census for Mary or Marie Daunce, born 1863-1865 Tilehurst, Berkshire.

Nearest i can find for a Daunce is a Rose Daunce b 1863 in Tilehurst in 1881 census.

She is working as a servant in Sonning in the Liberty of Early, Berkshire

RG11 / 1313 / 68 / 11

Have found marriage for Frederick

Frederick Welby W Howlett Jul-Aug-Sep 1884 in Reading
Vol 2c Page 639

Also think this is his death

Frederick Wilby W Howlett Apr-May-Jun 1894 age 33 in Reading
Vol 2c Page 196

Not sure if name is Wilby or Welby as we have different spellings

One is Mary A Ledger, parents John and Emma in 1871 and the other is a Mary A Kirtin,

parents are Edmund and Alice in 1881. Will post if needed

I found on the BMD the marriage of Mary Daunce, Sept. 1884 Reading, Berks 2c 639 to Frederick Welby West Howlett & his death in June 1891 Reading Berks.

I also found a marriage for Mary West Howlett Sept. 1894 2C 369 Hartley W. to William Alfred Pengilly.
I received a birth cert. for Alfred Ernest Pengilly born Aug. 2,1893 Farnham. On the cert. the mother's maiden namae is Marie Daunce. From this info. I assume after Frederick Howlett died she remarried. I can't find her on the 1881 census under the name Daunce, but it may have been spelt wrong.
Looked on the BMD for a birth for Marie or Mary Daunce but can't find one either.
