North East Pensioners seek help from the kind people of Chelmsford......
My friend has just learned, from the very helpful Bereavement Services Officer of Chelmsford Borough Council, that Emma Mary Ann Crickett was buried on 9th December 1960 in Chelmsford Cemetery, Section B area Grave No. 7826.
If anyone happens to be visiting that area of the Cemetery, could they please see if there is a headstone on grave 7826 and if so, let us know what it says?
Also, if anyone is visiting the library, could they please check if there were any notices in the Essex Chronicle a few days prior to the burial and if there was any obituary or acknowledment in the two weeks following, for Emma Mary Ann Crickett?
Emma Mary Ann was 70 when she died and her address was 3 Queen Street, Chelmsford where she had apparently lived since 1945 with her husband, George, who died in 1962. We have been told that George Crickett was a professional entertainer and he was also the verger of St John’s Church, Moulsham for many years up to his death. If anyone can provide any other information about him in either of these roles or generally, it will be much appreciated.
