Can anyone help me with a look up for MI / burial in Chelmsford for a couple called Pieter J Duyshart and Alida Helena Duyshart. This couple were Dutch and I have found the name misspelt on various records. I've found a death index entry for Pieter showing that he died in Chelmsford in the 4th quarter of 1889 - no trace for his wife. Pieter was a photographer and had a business in Chelmsford (P.J.Duyshart & Co) which was carried on after his death by his daughter Maria Mona Duyshart.
Any information on burial place, MI, etc would be helpful. And if anyone knows of a source where one could get more information about the business that too would be helpful.

I am researching Kemp, Emslie, Mitchell in Lumphanan, Aberdeenshire; Marshall, Shewan and Adie in Longside/Peterhead, Aberdeenshire; Still, Sim, Duncan and Andrew in Boyndie/Fordyce Banffshire; Niven, Bruce, Ross, Robert in Fetteresso / Durris, Kincardineshire.
I have been researching for over 20 years and have a very extensive tree involving each of those names, proven back to the early 18th century in some cases.

Thanks for the links to the photos - I had seen one of them before but not the other. The one taken in 1894/95 must have been by his daughter Maria Mona since that is after his death.
And Yes, he was secretary of the IOM Telegraphic Company in the 1860s. They married in Newington, Surrey but their two children were born on the IOM and they appear there in the 1863 Directory and in the 1861 census. I haven't found them in 1871 yet but in 1881, they were in Torquay. So they got around a bit.
Pieter actually started a bit of a dynasty of photographers - as said earlier, his daughter Maria Mona was also a photographer and she married Frederick Cornhill who at one stage was listed as a 'photographic artiste'. Their son Frederick Cornhill was the ship's photographer on various Trans-Atlantic liners during the 1930s although he latterly became a hotel owner in Edinburgh.

Thanks a lot for trying. I'm afraid I don't know Alina's maiden name - the index gives it as Duyshart, the same as her married name but I would be very surprised if that's correct.

there is a marriage in Newington 1859 but there isn't a cross reference shown, free BMD's is not complete yet, to get Alida's maiden name have you thought about purchasing either this marriage or the birth of Maria Mona, I have Even tried just putting in her Christian name thinking it would throw up a different surname, is there a possibility that Alida returned to Holland Who was the informant on Pieter's death cert? Just thoughts

I just entered Alida Helena and came up with the info, I am hoping it is your elusive Alida.
Everything shows that she was still alive after 1901
