Hi Smiley I am hoping someone can help me.Someone has brought to my attention about a JOSEPH SELBY c about 1790 or 1793 ?? (problem is don,t know where)he  married MARY GOLDSMITH  the 24 sept, 1815 in maidstone kent.MARY was c 1796 in kent and apparently they had a daughter named NAOMI SELBY born the 14 sept, 1825 west malling kent, c 18 jan, 1826 london and she died  in 1885 wrotham.NAOMI had married JAMES READ  in 1845 sevenoaks.

I am interested in knowing where joseph selby C 1790 OR 1793 was born as i have a JOSEPH SELBY c 1793 born in rempstone nottingham.

I hope someone can help.

I went to Family search and MAYBE found a possibility.
JOSEPH SELBY c 3 jan, 1790 Lydden, kent.
What does anyone think???

I'm not sure about the baptised in London bit.  IGI batch number C029388 is one of those funny ones appearing to cover a number of different areas - they are probably non-conformist baptisms. 

There were a number of SELBYs in West Malling http://www.west-malling.co.uk/baptisms.php5
