Hi all,

Came across this somewhat unusual surname in my travels through the family tree, and was wondering if anyone knew anything about it...

My particular interest is Sarah PUPPIN who married Robert TUCKER on 3 May 1768, according to IGI in High Ham, Somerset.  Robert TUCKER was born in Rode, and they subsequently seem to have returned to Rode, as all their children were born there...

I've done a search on FreeReg and found a Puppin family in High Ham, but no Sarah, although one family might be hers (the mother is Sarah...but the dates are all wrong by my calculation).

So - does anyone know anything about the origins of this surname, and is anyone else researching it?
