Dunblane - Brown/Cribbes

Looking for any information on a Robert Brown and wife Mary Cribbes, both died at Dunblane and any descendents.

Mary at 80 High St 1942 and Robert at Doune Rd. 1947, he was a Master Baker, Robert's death witnessed by a son Ralph Brown, no details.

They were married 1903 at Duns, parents Ralph Brown & Elizabeth  nee Brown.

Hi Beckey,

Not sure if you're looking for information backwards.

Mary (24 y-o dressmaker) living with Mother Mary (aged 58) and older brother George (28, Sergeant, Cape Volunteers) at 36 Bridge End, Kilmeny, Duns at 1901 census.

Robert is a 27 year old Grocer's Cellarman living with his parents at Turbleton Cottage, Duns.  Mum and Dad are 58 and 54 respectively, he's a Carter on Farm.

Thanks for the info. had the 1901 for Robert but not Mary, would like to try and find any other children bar Ralph, he was born 1903.
Have the other details backwards, Robert brother to my wife's grandmother.

Hi Beckey,

I searched for Brown deaths on SP, with mother's maiden name as Cribbes. Only one appeared; a death for Edith Mary McLaren (maiden name Brown) in 1988. She was aged 79 (born c. 1909) and died in Alloa, Clackmannanshire.

Looking for a possible birth for Edith brings up 1909 in Hawick, Roxburghshire? Smiley Unfortunately the birth certificate is just outside of the cut-off dates.
