Can anyone help me please?
I am looking for a Kate Amelia Pragnell, born 1861 on the Isle of Wight in Arreton, to Mark and Catherine Pra(n)gnell (nee Williams).
I have found Kate A on the 1871 census aged 9, but after that I can't find her on any other census, I have looked on the Isle of Wight Family History Society BMD and there is no listing of a marriage, or death for her, so where has she gone?
Any help or information greatfully received.

Hi Sue,
Thank you for your info of the marriages for Kate Pragnell, but checking on the Isle of Wight Family History Society BMD James Jacob Abbott married Emily A Salter in 1881 and Joseph Duncan Shilling married Mary J Woodford in 1882.
and thanks also to Casalguidi for your information re Thomas E Bull, yes I did suspect this as a possibility but when I inquired at the Isle of Wight Registrar Office they said that the father of Kate on the marriage certificate did not match the 'Mark Pragnell' who was Kate Amelia's father, but saying that Kate was born in Arreton, which Merstone is part of!!!! confused.com!!!
where is the web site so i can look up and get a copy of the 1881 entry for the Warburton Hotel in Newport for myself. Also my Kate was born in 1861 so she would have been 19, which is about the right age!

Looking at Jorose's find (above) of a Harry BULL who died WW2 would confirm that the wife of Thomas Edmund BULL did have the middle name of Amelia - it certainly does look like it is the correct marriage doesn't it 
There is a Harry BULL (birthdate and place given as 30 May 1881 Newport) in the online Royal Navy service records http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documentsonline/royal-navy-service.asp but I doubt there would be anything on the service record to confirm whether it is the right chap or not - I couldn't see him in 1891 
You can get copies of census returns from http://www.ancestry.co.uk by purchasing credits or a monthly subscription.

Hello Casalguidi,
Many thanks indeed for all your help in trying to help me find Kate Amelia Pragnell's whereabouts.
Every thing is pointing to the fact that she did marry Thomas Edmund Bull.
I have just got on to the Isle of Wight Registrar office again, there is a lady there who is very kind and helpful, so I have just asked her again if she can confirm the father on the marriage certificate.
I have also just sent off for Kate's birth certificate to see if that throws any more light on the subject.
