Checking the Halbard ( however spelt) name at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~hughwallis/IGIBatchNumbers/CountryEngland.htm shows two families of them in Minch' and the earliest baptism is in 1825, so you are going to have to look further afield and for that, Parloc will prove itself vey useful Smiley

Thanks Chas, on leave from today, so hopefully will have time to check them out, and also see if I can find Jos./Sarah/Elizabeth  on census under the different varients. Also Ann G after marriage.
