hello there
I am looking for the marriage of Thomas Jackson to Jemima Woodfield. They were both from Offchurch, Warwickshire. Jemima was born approx 1785 and Thomas 1791. They had 1 child as far as I know, Elizabeth.
I would like to know if possible who the parents were. Many thanks Avril

Hi,
There is this marriage on the IGI,
Jemima WOODFIELD Spouse: Thomas JACKSON Marriage: 07 Aug 1815 Offchurch, Warwick, England
There are also these baptisms,
Susanna JACKSON 05 Nov 1815 James JACKSON 27 Apr 1817 John JACKSON 20 Jun 1819 Elizabeth JACKSON 01 May 1825
All with parents Thomas and Jemima JACKSON, Offchurch, Warwickshire.
This looks like Jemima in 1851 giving her birthplace as Napton,
1851 HO107/2073 f.641 p.6 Offchurch
Jemima JACKSON Head Widow 66 Charwoman Warwick Napton William ADAMS Lodger N 55 Carpenter Northampton Farthings Louisa ALLCOCK Granddaur N 5 Scholar Warwick Witnash?

Hello Daisy
Wow that was quick, many thanks for the information. Can you please tell me the information that I would need should I send for a wedding certificate. Do you know if we were to send for the marriage certificate would it have the fathers names on it.
Thankyou very much for the baptisms. Like you we also had Jemima giving her birthplace as Napton in the 1851 census.
I must be doing something wrong because I never have any luck using the IGI on line.
Kind regards Avril

Hi,
Unfortunately because the marriage was before the date civil registration started in 1837 you can't get a marriage cert.
Someone local might be able to do a look up for the parish record, I would but I don't live anywhere near Warwickshire.
If you live near a family history centre you can order the microfilm/fiche to see the original record which may have further details and witnesses, but I would not expect to see their fathers names on a record of this date, I hope someone will correct me if I am wrong about this

I found the childrens by just putting Thomas JACKSON and Jemima in the parents boxes, British Isles, England, Warwickshire in the region etc boxes.
