Is anybody searching the Newling family?
Edward Newling (B) 14/2/1703 Little Chesterford (F) George (M) Unity.  (M) Sarah Stallon 21/10/1727 Duxford
I have the Newling family going forward to Gt. Shelford, Barley Hertford & Thetford Norfolk.

I am hoping to visit the CCRO this coming Tuesday, so would you like me to look anything up in the Duxford or Great Shelford Registers about your NEWLING family?

My connection with the Newling family is Thomas Seeley (M) Rebecca Newling 3/11/1829 St. Marys Thetford Norfolk who's daughter Susan carries on through to me via my Grandmother eventually.
I have traced the Newlings back on the www.familysearch.org to Edward Newling (B) 14/2/1703 Little Chesterford (Essex) Father George Mother Unity. It seems that the sons were named Edward for three generations.  They lived in the Duxford, Little Chesterford, Shelford areas, also Barley Hertford in 1777. That's off course if the Familysearch site is correct.
If there is any information about this family before 1703 it would be interesting, or anything else you may find about them.
As I use the library for computer work I will not be here before Wednesday now.

The only thing I could discover in the Duxford St John registers for the Newling family was that marriage on 21-10-1725 between Edward NEWLING and Sarah STALLAN.  Perhaps, as I was in a bit of a hurry, I got the year wrong, as you've got 1727.
However, there is the baptism on 01-10-1727 for an Edward NEWLING, son of Edward and Sarah (BT Lab).
Sorry I wasn't more useful...

Good morning Keith, Thank for looking for the Newling family, I made a mistake and type 1727 instead of 1725. If you have time next time you visit I was wondering if the records go back before 1703 when Edward newling (B) 14/2/170 Little Chesterford Father George Mother Unity. Also are there any deaths of this family in the Duxford area in the 18th century? I do know how time consumming these look ups can be. Ann

Glad to hear that I got the right marriage, after all.  Can you have another look at that date you've give me for the look-up on Edward NEWLING - 14-02-170?
Also, I'm afraid Little Chesterford is in Essex, I think, so I'd not be able to look that one up at the CCRO.
But I'll certainly have a look for NEWLING burials in Duxford.  I often go there, so I'll have a look in the churchard if I find any...
