Here is how to match a married couple after you have done a marriage search on Ancestry.co.uk

When searching for a marriage on Ancestry.co.uk the search result often comes back with more than one married couple. Here is how to match the married couple up.

Go to The Kent Registration Services site -      http://extranet3.kent.gov.uk/sp/rois/home.html

I do it the following way.

Click on Marriage Certificates. Enter the surname and year of marriage of your ancestor and then click marriage search. From the result list click on your ancestors name. Take a note of the Entry and Register numbers.

Now do the same surname search of the possible spouses from the Ancestry.co.uk search results. When one of these matches the Entry and Register number of your ancestor you will definately know they married each other.
