I have found Mary Lillington, daughter of Henry and Ann (Churchill) Lillington, of Wareham, Dorset, 8 March 1785, South Street Chapel. I see that at least for a few years there were two Lillington families living in Wareham.

Delving further into the lives of Joseph Lillington and his family, I see that an Elizabeth Lillington was buried 28 July, 1780, he married Mary Hartnel, 5 April, 1781. Mary died and was buried 8 May, 1786 leaving him to marry Elizabeth Orchard later in the same year. Elizabeth was buried 9 Jan, 1803 and Joseph 9 Feb, 1815, both in Winfrith. Joseph was reported to be 75 which puts his birth at 1740 but I can find no baptism for him in that time frame. You have probably sorted all this out but it does make it possible for Mary to be the daughter of the Joseph you have found, even if at her age the circumstances seem unlikely.

Hi again, Ray,
The only Mary Dover who is listed on free BMD who might be your candidate is Mary Ann whose death is registered Weymouth, JFM 1847. This would put her in the right age bracket to fit with Mary Lillington, born 1772. Age is reported at death by those who provide the information so ages at death tend to often be approximate.
The Weymouth district encompassed many parishes. I did check the burials for St. Mary's Melcombe Regis without success.
