James shown as a farmer.

18 July 1819   Mary Elisa, daughter of James & Elizabeth CRODE   Wyke

1 July 1821   Sarah Ann, daughter of James & Elizabeth   CRODE   Wyke
                     James shown as  Yeoman

8 June 1823  James Lovelace, son of James & Elizabeth CRODE    Wyke
                        James shown as Mariner

1 May 1825   William, son of James & Elizabeth CROAD,     Wyke     Farmer

Hi Daval

I have just seen your post regarding John James Croad b1818 he and Philliss Notley were my great great grandparents. His father was also John James b 1781 at Rodden,Dorset and married Elizabeth (unknown).

The 1841 census shows a James Croad (Yoeman) aged 60 and Elizabeth 55 living at Wyke Regis with 2 children Eliza 20 and James 15. I think this could be John James as his father John  90 is also living there and too many Johns could have been confusing.

John James Croad b1818 and Philliss Notley were also my G,G,Grandparents. As you say James,Elizabeth and three children Eliza20, John20 and James15 were in the 1841 census at Wyke Regis, but in the same census another Croad family were in Wyke Regis,Henry25 Priscilla25 Robert3 and William 1 are these relatives. It seems we are related where do you suggest we go from here====Daval
