i wonder if you wouldn't mind looking up William stables he was the father of Myles or miles stables d.o.b 1806 place urswick cumberland at that time i think it was part of Lancashire, i have looked at some parish records and found a William stables 1776c but not sure if he his the father of William any information would be received with thanks, i think William,s wife was called Mary

Birth: 13 MAR 1806
Christening: 06 APR 1806 Urswick In Furness, Lancashire, England

its showing his parents as william and jane

what i need to know is this the same wm stable and jane as in the bishops records to give me another three generations(below is the extract from bishops records)

These are children of William and Jane STABLE, bap at Urswick
1795 William (buried 1818 aged 23)
1797 Geofrey (buried 1851 aged 54)
1799 Isabella
1802 John (buried 1816 aged 14)
1804 Matthew
1806 Miles

Jane STABLE was buried 1845 aged 81.

A William STABLE was buried at Urswick in 1840 aged 85. He was presumably the one bap in 1755, son of Geffry. William also had a brother (Thomas 1758) who had a son called Geofrey, also Will had a sister called Isabel..

Where exactly did you get your "1776c"?

I suspect that the mother of William 1755 and Thomas may have been the Ann STABLE who was buried in 1819 aged 91 ... on the other hand, she may not have been.

geoff ty for your information, the 1776c came from a friend whom did a look up and i posted without checking (i usually try and check all my info(silly me Grin

)
i was sceptical about adding the info below to my family tree with out double checking and now with good reason, your info seems to hit the right cord i have myles stables (miles stable) 1841 census all the way down to my self i was just a bit worried about the info below i couldnt enter it without a conection

I hope you're saying that the Satterthwaite stuff will now be discarded at having no relevance. All of the baptisms and burials that I quoted took place at Urswick.

It'a a pity I wasn't able to find a marriage or two to tie it all together. Sad

There was a marriage a couple of miles away in Dalton in 1785, Wm STABLE to Jane BROWN ... but I can find no children born to this couple in the next ten years.

It is disguarded geoffe, and thank you for all your help, it look like i am going on a trip to urswick to nip round the cemetary there and churchyard, thanks again for all your help, back on right track again, Wink

due a holiday anyways
