A birth certificate has arrived this morning that confirms a maiden name for me, but I cannot find the marriage of the parents.
William Carr c1821 born Pontefract, Yorkshire
Mary Beardshall c1821 born Silkstone, Yorkshire.
The certificate is for Joseph Carr, their eldest son born December 1844, registered January 1845.
At the time of Joseph's birth, and on each census thereafter, they are living in Silkstone or Dodworth.
I don't know if I am just overlooking the marriage or if it isn't there, but would really appreciate it if someone could have a look too.

Hi,
The marriage is on familysearch.org, but unfortuantely it doesn't give any details, ages, fathers names etc........... but they were married on 1 Oct 1843 at Silkstone, which fits in with the entry Nanny Jan found.

Sorry, ommited to say that Mary's surname on the entry is Beardshall.
