It's there and on other sites. Make sure that you look at the full one not the partial one. Unfortunately that area isn't on the North Wales BMD yet, although I transcribed some of it a few years back

I think this will be the John Ellis death (hubby of Fanny) - not that it helps to establish whether he was David's father

Hi there, I have 2 suggestions for you which may or may not help but are worth a try! Go to the Penmaenmawr community website and go into the forum and ask your question. You may find that someone there has access to parish records.
www.penmaenmawr.com
or contact the Register office in Llandudno which covers the area. They are extremely helpful. Here is their page which explains what they can do for you, just click on the contact us to send your request.

Best of luck with your quest.

Very good ideas, Titch
I've tried Dafydd but no luck.
The only other thing that I can think of, and it always has to be a possibility - it's happened in my lines - is that David was being 'economical with the truth'

I quite agree Gadget, some of mine were indeed very economical with the truth!

Another thought. Have you tried searching under David ELIAS? Sometimes Welsh names became anglicized on the journey to England
