wrexham location please

Hi

I have an address from a birth cert (1856) as being 'Temple Place, Wrexham' would this be Temple Row as it is now or was there a Temple Place. Or does it narrow down the location of where on Temple Row. I know the area so I know it borders the Churchyard.

Had a look at various books for Wrexham names and the only name that keeps cropping up is Temple Row.  I can't find any reference to Temple Place so I think you may have to take it as a spelling error by the registrar.  Nice but noisy place to live though!

Hi

I think there was somewhere called Temple Place as my ancestors were tailors and staymakers and had a business there.
I found them listed in 1835 Pigot's Directory for Wrexham.
