I have just obtained a copy of the death certificate for my ggg grandmother Sarah GOODWIN, nee BULL, and she was indeed born about 1791, as her age at death on 31st January 1853 is given as 62 years. Cause of death "Debility certified".  And so it does put into question the Sarah BULL baptised in 1799, as her parents were apparantly married in 1793, with children being baptised from 1794 onwards. But there is no Sarah BULL born/baptised in 1791 in the St. Neots parish registers! Trying isn't it. All I need is a little tie-in with that family of BULLs in St. Neots.

Belatedly for Bob [Stonechat]. With regard to your BULLS in Godmanchester. Do you know anything about the two BULL children [Sarah 11 and William 10] who, on the day of the 1841 census of Godmanchester, were at the house of an Eliza MASON, 65 pauper, and her son James, 25 bricklayer?

As you know, I am trying to tie some BULLs to my GOODWINs, and worthy of note is that one of the sons of John GOODWIN and Sarah BULL, himself a John, later married a Charlotte MASON of Godmanchester in 1853.

Very tentative I know, but we have to explore every avenue don't we.

My Bull family is pretty much the same as it has been for some time. There has been no progress in taking any side branches forward or taking my ancestors back further.

My gt gt gt grandmother, Jane Bull b 1794 in Godmanchester married Staffurth Clarke in 1819 in Warboys. I have found no siblings of Jane. Her parents were Joseph Bull and Sarah Fisher, who married 1779 in Godmanchester.

Joseph was b 1754 to William Bull and Jane Evins , they married 1744 in Godmanchester. Joseph had at least two siblings, John and George. Maybe other Bulls in Godmanchester could be descendants of these?

Taking these further back will have to wait until I can make another visit to the Hunts RO, maybe I can make another visit in May.
